This is what we started with... and 6 hours later, I can proudly say that I used well over 225 pears off of this tree. With the help of my Aunt Clem and cousin Janet, I peeled, diced, cooked, and canned pears this weekend. Aunt Clem and Janet helped me get 57 jars canned for Pear Preserves and when I got home I cleaned and steamed 67 pears, then pureed them down for baby food. It was my first adventure doing pear preserves... boy are they good! Does anyone else can their own jams?

My parents do but I don't. That is awesome. I think if I had that many of any fruit I would just sit and look at them and wonder what to do. GOOD JOB!
